Shined
First
performed when the band was Stash, this number was brought to the band
by D. Belline. The first known appearance of Shined was at New
York Ave. on 07/09/2026 [Huntington, NY].
Although
Shined appears on 1998's "Thoughts of a Moth", it has not been
played by the band since January 2001.
Lyrics
Spotted
gray and hazy rays of sunshine
take away my pain
Despite the rain, it's plain I'd do it all again
Step under the white-hot lights and let it go
Stand up, let my feelings show
You hide behind the borderline, that side's yours
and this side's mine
When you know in the end you'll never get to
keep it for yourself
Better to die bitter then to share it all, well
you're wrong, so I wrote this song
Can I rest my head upon your shoulder, stranger? (x4)
Go on, turn your back on me again,
'cause I remember when
You were all alone, you needed me to be your friend
Another time, another day, don't be surprised
I'll hear you say..."I need you, your love shined true"
(Repeat chorus)
