Astroslide
The
lyrics to this song were a joint-effort from Billy Zwerlein, Dennis
Belline, C. Stanziale, and Shaun Mangan. It's first known
performance was at New York Ave. on 10/29/1997 [Huntington, NY].
Astroslide
appears on 1998's "Thoughts of a Moth".
Lyrics
They're
walkin' around in my head,
sometimes dancin' but always the same
Can't get away from what you want me to be
Yet for this help of head and brain,
happily instinctive we'll always remain
Our best glide upwards into the light
Our passions will guide us on this long awaited flight
Oh...see you there
(The Astroslide, a golden flare, we'll see you there)
A rusty glow painted on the moon;
euphonious probe; magnetometer boom
The uneven orbits in a thermoelectric wave
subconsciously connected to this groove
I'm a slave
Re-enter this atmospheric phase
back on Earth no one notices my change
Slowly walking from this altered mind trip
addicted to the astroslide I start to lose my grip
(Repeat chorus)
Open your mind to the distant sounds,
back and forth spinning round and round
In my head it's right there in front of me,
it's just not something everyone can see
Everything good must come to an end,
from start to finish we'll do it again
I've come to recognize these feelings inside
And appreciate the time on this astroslide ride
(Repeat chorus)
